New Delhi: Indian cricket on record has always proved to be one of the best host in entire cricketing world but the ongoing one-off Test between Afghanistan and New Zealand at the Greater Noida sports complex is proving to be otherwise. While the first two days of the Test match could not take place due to wet outfield at the complex, some other big controversies have taken place that have brought disgrace to the authority and management responsible.
Multiple inspections took place on Tuesday to check the possibility of a match but finally it had to be called off. In an attempt to dry the outfield, many big electrical fans were brought and used for drying the wet patches but nothing helped. Some photos of the Greater Noida Sports Authority went viral on Tuesday that shocked one and all.
Utensils being cleaned in toilet
According to a report in India Today, some photos were viral on social media that showed a member of the catering team cleaning the utensils in a toilet. It was shocking to see the photos on social media, that clearly indicated lack of basic facilities in the sports complex, after the photos of the utensils being washed adjacent to a urinal appalled one and all.

The match was supposed to begin on Monday but not a single ball was played as umpires citied ‘players safety’ as a concern and the play was cancelled. On Tuesday, it did not rain the entire day but only half an hours rain caused such a havoc that play could not begin. There were no facilities to dry up the wet patches as all attempts made by the authorities present there failed.
Lack of facilities at Greater Noida sports stadium hasn’t allowed a single day’s play in the Afghanistan vs New Zealand one-off Test. Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
