New Delhi: After the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Team India departed for Mumbai on a chartered flight to take part in an open bus parade from the Nirman Point to Wankhede Stadium. As the anticipation builds for the team’s arrival in Mumbai, fans posted videos and photos of the parade bus on social media.

Rohit Sharma and Co. landed in Delhi on Thursday morning where thousands of fans gathered to welcome their heroes at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The Indian captain thanked the fans for their support as the team left for the hotel to rest after 15-hour-long journey.
After the bus parade, BCCI will facilitate World Cup-winning players in a ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium. Team India defeated South Africa in the T20 World Cup final in Barbados on June 29. After the final, the team was stuck in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl.
BCCI arranged a special Air India chartered flight ‘AIC24WC’ for the players and the team landed in Delhi on Thursday. Rohit Sharma became the first captain to lift the T20 World Cup trophy without losing any match.

Rohit Sharma and Co. ended India’s 11-year ICC Trophy drought and clinched their second T20 World Cup title. The Men in Blue remained undefeated throughout the tournament. India defeated Ireland, Pakistan and USA in the group stage. The Men in Blue beat Bangladesh, Australia and Afghanistan in the Super 8 stage and qualified for the semi-final.
India defeated England by 68 runs and qualified for their third consecutive ICC final. The Men in Blue beat South Africa by 7 runs in the final. Virat Kohli scored 76 runs off 59 balls and won the Player of the Match award while Jasprit Bumrah won the Player 0f the Tournament award for his brilliant bowling throughout the tournament.
