Tamil Nadu BJP leader Alexis Sudhakar booked under Goondas Act over his links with rowdies

Chennai: Alexis Sudhakar, Secretary of Advocates wing of the Tamil Nadu BJP has been arrested under the Prevention of Gangster Act, Goondas Act. on the charges providing unlicensed pistol to rowdy ‘Sirkazhi Satya’ who was shot by the police recently.

Following the recommendation of District Superintendent of Police Sai Praneeth to the Chengalpattu District Collector, the Chengalpattu District Collector ordered the arrest of Alexis Sudhakar under the Prevention of Gangster Act after Lawyer Sudhakar has allegedly supplied the unlicensed gun to Satya. Meanwhile, Sudhakar filed a petition seeking bail in this case. The case has been posted for hearing on July 8. It is to be noted that, already 3 criminal cases are already pending against Alexis Sudhakar.

The back ground of the case 

According to police sources, the state BJP leader had links with many rowdies. After the police found his links with rowdy Sirkazhi Satya of  Mayiladuthurai district who was wanted criminal in murder cases. The warrant has been issued for Satya in a connection with the murder case in Coimbatore. But he did not appear in this case and remained absconding. In this situation, on June 28, the police gunned down the notorious mercenary gang leader Sirkazhi Satya near Mamallapuram.
