Hyderabad Police on late Wednesday arrested a man who made hoax calls of planting bombs at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan and Nampally Court.
Two calls from the same number:
A man identified as Siva Kumar, a resident of Chikkadpally, was arrested after the police traced the caller. The accused had called the police control room on May 28 and claimed that a bomb would explode at Praja Bhavan. Later, he made another call from the same number to the control room claiming that a bomb was planted at the Nampally court.
Police teams rushed to both premises with bomb disposal squads and conducted extensive checks.
The caller then switched off his mobile phone but police traced him and arrested him. He allegedly made the calls in a drunken stupor after picking a fight with his wife. He was previously allegedly involved in a bike theft case.
