Telangana cabinet expansion: Revanth Reddy to be in Delhi tomorrow

Telangana cabinet expansion will take place on July 4 and CM Revanth Reddy will visit New Delhi on July 3 to draw up the final details, Tv9 telugu reported.

Congress high command is also expected to make a final decision on a new Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President.

According to the rules, six more ministers can be included in the cabinet. Along with the ministers, Deputy speaker, chief whip and PCC President will also be appointed. A total of seven to eight people may get these posts and caste equations are expected to play a key role in the expansion of the cabinet.

Last week, the meeting held at AICC general secretary KC Venugopal’s house was attended by the CM along with Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and party state affairs in-charge Deepa Dasmunshi.

This comes after CM Revanth Reddy on Monday met Governor CP Radhakrishnan.

Meanwhile, CM is also focused on the budget after the expansion of the cabinet and will hold a meeting with the top officials of all departments on Tuesday to discuss the budget issue. Secretaries of all departments, special chief secretaries, chief secretaries and many ministers will also attend this meeting.

The state government may hold the Budget session of Telangana Legislative Assembly around July 23, reports said.
