Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) condemned the action of some Tamil YouTubers who made prank videos on the premises of the temple for ‘hurting sentiments’ of the devotees and threatened legal action against them.
TTF Vasan, a popular Tamil YouTuber posted a video online where he and his friends can be seen pretending to open the gate and letting devotees out for darshan. The devotees who are waiting for darshan got up expecting the gate was opened, causing chaos and confusion.
In a post on social media platform X, TTD wrote, “Ironically the prankster ran away from the compartment laughing mischievously and even released the video on social media which has gone viral especially in Tamilnadu. Usually the mobiles of devotees are being deposited in the Vaikuntham queue complex after moving from the Narayangiri sheds.”
Vasan has a big following on social media including on Instagram, where he has 1.2 million followers and 41.2 million subscribers on YouTube.
On his YouTube channel, he mostly posts videos of him performing bike stunts, races and other stunts on roads.
Last year, his driving license was suspended after he was in an accident. Tamilnadu authorities said that he was a habitual offender and indulged in rash driving in different districts of the state.
