UFC legend Benji Radach passes away, no cause of death revealed

New Delhi: UFC legendary middleweight fighter Benji Radach passed away at 45 on August 27, Tuesday. Radach’s brother announced Benji’s death on his Facebook account. Radach’s cause of death is still unknown, his family didn’t reveal any cause of death in the death statement they posted on Facebook. Radach was from Washington D.C. and started his career in MMA at a young age.

Radach was 10-0 in his professional career before being signed by UFC. He started his professional career in 2001 and retired from combat sports in 2015, with a span of 14 years he finished his career with 21-7, fighting in more than five promotions like UFC, IFL, Elite XC, Strikeforce, Bellator, and many more.

Before Radach came into UFC, he was fighting in the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and defeated Royden Demotta via TKO in just 61 seconds. This TKO gave Radach a dream start to his career. After his career with UFC, he joined IFL and won many memorable fights against legendary fighters like Gerald Harris, Brian Foster, and Bristol Marunde.

He last fought in 2015 in the Bellator promotion and his last fight, he was defeated by Ben Reiter. Radach also competed in the Welterweight division and Light Heavyweight division where he didn’t get more success compared to the middleweight division.

Caio Borralho defeated Jared Cannonier in UFC Fight Night via unanimous decision last Sunday. Borralho recently revealed he spent time with Khamzat Chimaev in recent years. Chimaev is known for his intensity in his training and he is undefeated in his UFC career.

Borrahlo revealed that he has been training for a couple of years and he is a very tough training guy, Chimaev every time pushed him to train hard, and whenever Borrahlo slowed down Chimaev directly screamed in his face.
