India welcomes the world champions
As the wait got longer, the anticipation of Team India’s arrival began to get bigger. Stranded in Barbados for four days after winning the T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma & Co, along with the whole country, breathed a huge sigh of relief after landing home on Thursday.
It was because of Hurricane Beryl, that the departure of the T20 champions was delayed but before the Category 4 hurricane hit Barbados, Team India took the tournament by storm with their remarkable performances. The Asian giants became the first champions to remain undefeated in a T20 World Cup campaign with eight wins in the showpiece event in the Americas.
