New Delhi: Team India star Virat Kohli came up with a heartwarming gesture for a fan at the Bhubaneshwar airport as the Indian team departed for Ahmedabad for the final 3rd ODI against England in the ongoing three-match series. India thrashed England by 4 wickets in the 2nd ODI at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Sunday to seal the series with an unassailable 2-0 lead.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Kohli can be seen walking up to a fan and giving her a hug at the Bhubaneshwar airport. The incident happened when the Indian team arrived at the airport to depart to Ahmedabad after their victory in the 2nd ODI in Cuttack. A group of fans was waiting for Kohli and the other Indian players to arrive.
As Kohli went to acknowledge the supporters, he was hugged by a lady fan. The senior India batter also shook hands with a couple of fans before leaving as the security personnel had to intervene. Kohli’s gesture for the fan won hearts on social media as he made her day with the hug.

Virat Kohli’s woeful run continues in 2nd ODI
Kohli’s woeful run with the bat continued in the 2nd ODI against England in Cuttack on Sunday as he was dismissed cheaply on 5 runs off 8 balls. Kohli, who missed the series opener in Nagpur due to a knee issue, made his comeback in the second game in place of opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was dropped from the playing XI.
Kohli came out to bat at no.3 with India in a strong position after a 136-run stand between Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. However, he failed to capitalise and was dismissed cheaply on 5 by spinner Adil Rashid, who got him caught behind the stumps with an outside-off delivery that drifted inside.
