New Delhi: The saying that catches win matches was proven right by Suryakumar Yadav after he took a flying sensation at the boundary rope as India clinched a historic second T20 World Cup title after beating South Africa by 7 runs in the final in Barbados. In what turned out to be a nerve-wrecking battle which went down to the wire, the men in Blue had the last laugh.

The game which had numerous twists and turns went down to the last over which was bowled by Hardik Pandya. 16 runs were required off the nail-biting last 6 balls and the first delivery proved as the decider in which the dangerous David Miller was dismissed after scoring 21 off 16 balls. Hardik bowled a low wide full toss delivery which Miller attempted to hit but unfortunately found Suryakumar at the boundary who pulled off a sensational title-winning catch.

Suryakumar ran towards his left side and took the catch but lobbed the ball back in the air as he crossed the boundary line and then came back inside to complete a miraculous catch that literally proved to be match-winning.
