New Delhi: India registered a splendid victory against Bangladesh at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua on June 22, Saturday. The match brougt up sme hilarious stuff on the field that also included batting star Virat Kohli, who was seen revoking the childhood memories among fans as he searched for the ball in the boundary line.

The event occurred in the 17th over of Bangladesh’s innings, when Arshdeep Singh was bowling to Rishad Hossain who smashed a huge six on the last delivery of the over. The ball went over the deep-mid wicket boundary and went underneath a structure placed outside the boundary line.

Kohli was placed at mid-wicket as he jumped over the advertisement hoardings, and went to collect the ball, not hesitating at all as he crawled under the structure and searched for the ball.

Fans and commentators went crazy after the hilarious Kohli moment in the match. Legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh said “Oh chakka laga gend kha ghus gayi” on air and appreciated Kohli’s effort on finding the ball by adding “Lo nikal laye ji gend”

India crush Bangladesh by 50 runs

India defeated Bangladesh by 50 runs in their second match of the Super Eight stage and stretched their six-match unbeaten run in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 and are almost through to the semi-finals.

Bangladesh invited India to bat first which followed Hardik Pandya’s magnificent half-century and Kohli’s 37 in just 27 balls which helped India post a mammoth 196 runs for five wickets. In response, the Bangla Tigers didn’t show any intent and scored just 146 runs in chasing the big total. Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets and broke the middle order of the Bangladesh team. Jasprit Bumrah again gave a match-winning performance, giving only 13 runs in his four-over spell and took skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto and Rishad Hossain’s wicket.
