Telugu Desam Party Chief Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said that TDP is a part of NDA and he is going to NDA meeting when asked about a potential alliance with INDIA bloc at a press conference in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to the media, he said that it was a ‘historical election that brought his party back to power in the state’.
“Up and downs in politics are normal, our country is permanent, our democracy is permanent. Never saw this kind of historical election in my life. People of Andhra showed commitment by coming from far off places to vote. ‘Historical Election’ is all I can say,” he stated.
“Arrogance and doing whatever one wants is not something people will tolerate. Media was also harassed and it really is shameful. The arrogance of thinking that they could do whatever they want, we saw it with our party and Jana Sena. Pawan Kalyan was also thrown out of Visakhapatnam. Arrests without reasons were also done. Jagan Reddy is a case study of what not to do in power and we are not rulers. This is our responsibility,” Naidu said.
He further stated, “Kalyan refused to split anti-incumbency vote and became a part of the alliance. BJP also came along and we worked together without any friction and we came together for the good of people and worked with true spirit. This unity became one of the reason for our victory. We will discuss how to take it forward.
Institutions were damaged, economy collapsed, sky high debts, natural resources have been looted. Ultimately, this is a responsibility to repair what was broken and giving a path for progress of the state.”
