New Delhi: Apart from the game of cricket, hilarious scenes happening on the field also grab the attention of the fans, leaving them in splits. One such incident took place recently in Zimbabwe during their elite 50-over domestic competition, named the National Premier League.
The hilarious incident took place in a domestic game between Rainbow 1 Cricket Club and SOGO Rangers. During the 45-over of the match, the Rainbow side required 4 runs off the final ball to win the match. Star Zimbabwe all-rounder Ryan Burl, who is also SOGO Rangers’ captain, had the ball in hand, while Francis Sande was out at the other end with the bat.
The bowler pitched the delivery slightly outside off stump and Sande without any hurdle slammed the ball all the way for a six, thereby winning the contest for his side. Soon after, he threw his bat in the air while celebrating the moment but it went on to hits the umpire unfortunately. While the umpire seemed seriously hurt, and showed it was a six, he was seen holding his leg with pain. Sande, on the other hand, brought out an unique dance celebration before his teammates jumped on him with sheer joy.
