New Delhi: Matchday 24 has produced some outstanding results, with Nottingham Forest starting the gameweek with a 7-0 thrashing of Brighton and Hove Albion. Southampton took their second win in the season against Ipswich Town while Wolverhampton Wanderers’ win against Aston Villa ensured that they climbed out of the relegation zone. Both the Merseyside clubs won, with Liverpool keeping a nine-point lead in the competition.
The major attraction of this week’s fixtures is Arsenal hosting Manchester City, which could give a hint into how the title race will shape. Saturday will also see Manchester United take on Crystal Palace at the same time when Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur play their draw. Chelsea and West Ham will be the last fixture of the gameweek, set to be played on Monday night.

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace (7:30 PM IST)
While Manchester United still look like they are set for their worst Premier League finish, though Ruben Amorim has turned his side’s fortunes ever so slightly. They have finished in third place in the Europa League group stage, giving them a direct knockout stage entry earlier in the week, remaining unbeaten in the Champions League. Having managed a 1-0 win over Fulham last week, the Red Devils are 12th in the competition, with an entry in the top 10 five points away.
Crystal Palace’s amazing campaign last year campaign didn’t transpire this season’s opening, which has now pushed them to 13th place. Their campaign has shown signs of improvement, staying unbeaten across both Premier League and FA Cup, before Brentford handed them a 2-1 loss last weekend. The Eagles last season had managed to win at Old Trafford and their defence in away games conceding only 11 goals so far.
Predicted XI
Manchester United: Onana; De Ligt, Maguire, Martinez; Dalot, Ugarte, Fernandes, Mazraoui; Diallo, Mainoo; Zirkzee
Crystal Palace: Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Hughes, Lerma, Mitchell; Esse, Eze; Mateta
Early predictions: Manchester United 2-1 Crystal Palace
Brentford vs Tottenham Hotspur (7:30PM IST)
Brentford have a chance to break into the top half of the table this weekend after Brighton lost theirs yesterday. It would help them towards their aspiration for a place in the European competition. Last weekend they took just their second win in ten games and now are sitting in 11th and have just a nine-point gap from the top seven. More recently the Bees’s great record has fallen as they have failed to win any of their last five home fixtures.
Tottenham Hotspur had finished fifth in the table last season but it is a contrasting picture this season as they currently stand 16th after Saturday’s games. They are separated from the relegation zone by just seven points. The Lillywhites are without a win in 2025 and have won only once in the last 11 games. Ange Postecoglou is now staring at becoming the first Tottenham coach since Osvaldo Ardilles in 1994 lost five consecutive games in the Premier League
Predicted XI
Brentford: Flekken; Kayode, Van den Berg, Collins, Lewis-Potter; Janelt, Norgaard; Mbeumo, Damsgaard, Schade; Wissa
Tottenham Hotspur: Kinsky; Porro, Gray, Van de Ven, Spence; Bentancur, Bissouma, Bergvall; Kulusevski, Richarlison, Son
Early predictions: Brentford 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur
Arsenal vs Manchester City (10:00 PM IST)
This is the most anticipated clash of the weekend which in the reverse fixture had ended in a 2-2 draw and was subject to both on and off-field controversies. Arsenal started their season slow and are now in the second place of the table, separated by just nine points from leaders Liverpool. This season, they are the only side who are yet to lose a single game at home. The Gunners earned crucial points earlier in the week in the UEFA Champions League to take the third spot in the table and qualify for the knockouts.
Manchester City though have started to improve their season again, but their poor performance in the European stage means they have added two more fixtures in the month of February. In the Premier League, they are on a six-match undefeated streak. Across competition, their defence remains weak, which resulted in their 4-2 loss to PSG after being two goals ahead at one point. Against Chelsea and against Girona in the Champions League, City conceded the first goal and had to fight their way back for a win.
Predicted XI
Arsenal: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Nwaneri, Havertz, Martinelli
Manchester City: Ederson; Nunes, Akanji, Stones, Gvardiol; Silva, Kovacic, De Bruyne; Foden, Haaland, Marmoush
Early predictions: Arsenal 1-0 Manchester City
Chelsea vs West Ham (Tuesday 1:30 AM IST)
Chelsea had taken two draws and one win in January and were almost on course for remaining unbeaten in the season but Man City’s strong comeback meant that Chelsea slipped to sixth place. The Blues top seven finish is also under some threat with both Aston Villa and Bournemouth targeting the place. Chelsea have often failed to hold on to good starts and at Stamford Bridge, they have this season conceded in ten games from the 11 played, showcasing poor defence at home.
West Ham managed a draw against Aston Villa in a well-fought contest. Hammers had created quite a few opportunities in the game and would have collected all three points had they applied themselves better. West Ham have now scored in their last back-to-back away games. However, they have failed to score in their last two Premier League clash against Chelsea, as they lost 5-0 at Stamford last season and in the reverse fixture this season lost 3-0.
Predicted XI
Chelsea: Sanchez; James, Chalobah, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Madueke, Palmer, Neto; Jackson
West Ham United: Areola; Coufal, Kilman, Mavropanos; Wan-Bissaka, Soucek, Alvarez, Emerson; Paqueta, Kudus; Bowen
Early predictions: Chelsea 2-0 West Ham
