Kohli’s only Test appearance in 2024 has come against South Africa as the former India captain pulled out of the entire home series against England this year due to his son’s birth. Despite missing Kohli, India beat England 4-1 in the five-match series riding on impressive performances from the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan among others.
