Chelsea ran riot at home against Brighton as they won the game comfortably against Fabian Hürzeler’s side. The Seagulls were unbeaten heading into the game and had been kind of a bogey side for the Blues in recent seasons so this was always going to be a tricky tie. The game was off to a brisk start as Georginio Rutter got his first goal for Brighton to give his side the lead. Levi Colwill’s clearance was blocked by a Brighton player and the ball looped up before Rutter headed it into an empty net. The goal breathed life into the game and Chelsea put their foot on the pedal.

Enzo Fernandez set Cole Palmer up for two beautiful chances, exploiting Brighton’s high line and Palmer hit the post once before finding the back of the net on the second chance but was ruled offside. The Englishman then got the goal which brought his side level shortly after. Jadon Sancho then seemingly added another but Madueke was found offside in the buildup. Sancho then won a penalty which Palmer converted before he scored a peach of freekick to make it 3-1. Some poor passing from Robert Sanchez allowed Carlos Baleba to reduce the deficit shorty after but four minutes before half-time, Sancho set up Palmer’s and Chelsea’s fourth which made it 4-2 and Enzo Maresca’s men held onto the lead till the end.

Just when it looked like the hosts would have to settle for a point, Arsenal decided to step on the gas and get past the finish line as they scored twice in second half added time to seal this win. Leicester had fought back well in the second half to level the score after the hosts had taken a comfortable lead in the first half. Goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard in the first half had the Gunners sitting pretty at half time before Leicester made them work for the win. The second half started with a goal from James Justin who reduced the deficit right after the second half started through a Facundo Buonanotte free-kick.

It was the marauding full-back once again who got the game back on level terms as he volleyed past David Raya from a Wilfried Ndidi cross. The Foxes seemed to be heading towards a well earned point but Trossard had other ideas. Arsenal, who have been pretty dangerous from corners, made use of it once again as Trossard won the lose ball off Ndidi to smash it past the Leicester keeper. There was still time for one more goal as Kai Havertz made it four right at the death as he pounced on Gabriel Jesus’ rebound.

Brentford made Premier League history in their draw with West Ham as the Hammers’ poor start to the season continued. The hosts became the first Premier League side to score within the first minute in three consecutive games as Bryan Mbuemo finished off acrobatically from a Kevin Schade cross that was headed towards the Cameroonian by Fabio Carvalho. Another poor showing from West Ham increases pressure on Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui as he’s only managed to win one of his first six games in charge.

It took the Irons nine minutes into the second half to get their goal as Michael Antonio scuffed his shot which was picked up by Tomas Soucek and turned past Mark Flekken in the Brentford goal. The visitors kept trying for a second goal but it remained elusive. West Ham desperately need Niklas Fullkrug to get fit as they just don’t seem to be getting that final touch. They had 19 shots in the game but only three of those ended up being on target, resulting in them losing another two vital points at the start of the season.

Everton have had a great week off the field and they finally have something to cheer about on field as well as the Toffees have their first win of the season. They faced off against Crystal Palace, who were also looking for their first win of the season and it was the Eagles who took the lead early on. Newly appointed club captain Marc Guehi gave his side the lead. It was a goal made by the defence as Maxence Lacroix assisted his captain but was probably looking for a goal. Everton, who had lost points in their last three games after being in a winning position, gave a taste of that to the Eagles this time.

They came from a goal down in the first half to make it 2-1 early in the second half. Dwight McNeil was on show for the Toffees and scored the brace that helped Everton to their first win of the season. The first goal was a thing of beauty from the Englishman as he scored from range before finishing from close range for his second following good work from Jack Harrison. This is a positive sign for the home side following an agreement between the current owners and the Friedkin Group over a sale of the club earlier in the week.

Nottingham Forest 0-1 Fulham

THREE MORE BIG ONES. 👊 pic.twitter.com/jHG5gL55Mp

It was a very cagey affair from these two teams that have started the season in unexpectedly good fashion. The first half of the game was pretty drab as neither team looked to threaten much. Fulham kept more of the ball in the half but didn’t do anything worthwhile and both teams had only one shot on target in the half. The second half began in dramatic fashion as Murillo stepped on Andreas Pereira’s foot inside the penalty box.

After a length VAR check, the penalty was given after the referee was asked to refer the pitch side monitor. Raul Jimenez, who has been having a career revival in the early part of this season, stepped up to take the penalty and he put it just out of the reach of Matz Sels to give his side the lead. The hosts became better after going a goal down but never showed enough intent that would’ve gotten them a winner. Fulham jumped up to 6th following this win while Forest remain inside the top 10 despite the defeat.

There was a lot of joy for London clubs as many of them were in action tonight. Let’s dive in to find out how all the teams fared on Matchday 6’s Premier League Saturday.  Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
