Actor sreenath bhasi faces backlash for using obscene languages, gestures during stage programme
Kochi, June 13 – Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi is in the news for the wrong reasons, this time where he was found using derogatory and cuss words on stage while performing, a video clip of which is viral across social media platforms.
There is a huge outrage among netizens with most of them slamming the actor and the crowd which was cheering following the gestures used by the actor. The crowd can be seen clapping along with the song with the loud background music.
The actor was found singing the song ‘Jaada’ from the Superhit movie ‘Aavesham’. Offensive words were repeatedly used by the actor in the stage programme that was followed by youngsters cheering and singing along with the actor.
Sreenath was using derogatory words and obscene languages during the performance and then raising his middle finger to the crowd.
Meanwhile, it was not clear about the location of the event as it was not mentioned nor the 1-minute video gave any clue of the location on whether it was in Kerala or elsewhere.
Meanwhile, the actor has not commented on the video that has surfaced.
This is not the first time the actor is embroiled in a controversy. In 2022, the actor was arrested for allegedly hurling abusive words at a woman interviewer during a promotional show. The incident took place when Bhasi was participating in the promotional interview for his film ‘Chattambi’
During the interview on a YouTube channel, Sreenath lost his cool at the question of the woman anchor. He dropped the F-word while expressing his irritation. It’s also alleged that he misbehaved with crew members after the cameras were turned off. Sreenath, however, has denied all allegations. He was later arrested and was interrogated. The actor later confessed and had to apologize to the interviewer.
The matter was taken up by the film producers AMMA body and FEFKA which has initially warned the actor.
