Washington: Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance in an address at a mega rally in Florida congratulated presidential nominee Donald Trump for emerging victorious in the US election polls, calling it “the greatest political comeback ever.”
Talking to the crowd early Wednesday in West Palm Beach, Vance thanked Trump for the “trust that you placed in me.”
“I think that we just witnessed the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States of America,” the vice presidential candidate said, as several states are still counting votes.
He further promised that he and Trump would now “lead the greatest economic comeback in American history.”
‘Will Make America…’: Trump Addresses Crowd
As Donald Trump inches closer to the White House with the counting of votes being underway for the US Presidential election, the 78-year-old former President held a mega rally in Florida before the formal announcement of the result. While addressing a giant gathering of his supporters, Trump reiterated his election slogan “Will make America great again.”
Trump appeared on the stage with a fist rising in the air amid loud cheers. He was joined by his family members, including his wife Melania Trump.
“We are going to help our country heal. We are going to fix our borders. We made history for a reason tonight. We overcame obstacles that nobody thought we could. Our country has never seen anything like this before,” Trump said at the rally. He also thanked the US for electing him as the 47th and 45th president.
