How does Rohit Sharma make umpiring easy? Umpire Anil Chaudhary reveals it all – WATCH

New Delhi: India skipper Rohit Sharma will go down as one of the best openers the nation has ever produced. He is known for making things simpler for his side and for his batting counterparts while in the middle. Little does anyone know that even the umpires are impressed with Rohit for making their work easy while batting. Indian umpire Anil Chaudhary recently revealed a quality of Rohit which is a kind of relief for all the umpires.

As Rohit is known for his hard hitting gameplay and his explosive batting as an opener, umpire Chaudhary praised Rohit for his approach and mentioned that it gets easy for an umpire to officiate against him because he is either clean out or clean not out, bringing out nothing in between.

“Umpiring for a player like Rohit is very easy… he’s either out or not out, it’s straightforward with him. He doesn’t play confusingly (like a slogger),” Chaudhary said on the YouTube podcast show ‘Unplugged’ with Shubhankar Mishra. Rohit is well known for his on-field banters either with players or light-hearted conversations with the on-field umpires which even the umpires seem to enjoy.

ICC umpire Anil chaudhary about Rohit Sharma.

– Rohit may seem casual but he is a very smart player, don’t get fooled thinking otherwise. when he is batting, it seems someone is bowling at 120 KMPH but when someone else is batting, the speed seems like 160 KMPH. #RohitSharma pic.twitter.com/rj17uu5EJZ

Rohit’s cricket IQ is sharp – Anil Chaudhary

Chaudhary further praised Rohit for his game sense as many take him casually for his verbal antics. Chaudhary said that Rohit has a very sharp game sense saying “his cricket IQ is amazing.” He also added that Rohit leaves the world’s best fast bowlers clueless with his batting prowess.

“You can’t guess his sharp mind from his batting. When he’s batting, it seems someone is bowling at 120 kmph, but when someone else is batting, the speed seems like 160 kmph. He gets involved in a lot of appeals and then says ‘let it be.’ He may seem casual, but he’s not casual at all,” the umpire added.

Rohit will be back in action in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh which starts from September 19, where he will lead the Indian team. He was recently seen preparing for the series with India’s assistant coach Abhishek Nayar. As he hung his boots on his T20I career, he is all set to focus on the PDI and Test cricket in the final years of his cricketing career.

Rohit Sharma is known to make things simpler and it turns out, his efforts not only prove worthy for his team but for the umpires as well. Wonder how? Umpire Anil Chaudhary reveals it all!  Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
