New Delhi: Very little does anyone know that Indian football legend Sunil Chhetri is fond of street food and has got not just one but a plethora of cheat meals that he drools upon. It does sound weird considering his jaw-dropping physique but the former Indian skipper himself has revealed about his food cravings and how madly is he in love with the Indian street food, having a long list of items that he goes mad about.
In a recent conversation with The Lallantop, Chhetri was asked about his life and career, and to everyone’s surprise he talked quite deeply and vividly about his love for food. The interviewer asked him about his top five favourite cheat meals which he replied, “Oh just five?” He outrightly named Chhole Bhature as his top favourite dish and talked vividly about how he likes to have them.
He was then asked about the number of Bhaturas he can eat in a go and the football icon revealed astonishing stats. He said that when it comes to Chhole Bhature, there’s no counting attached to it. “Don’t go over how I look (physique), I can eat,” Chhetri said and went on to reveal that he can easily devour 5-7 plates of Chhole Bhature quickly, meaning some 10-12 Bhaturas all alone.
He further shared his love for ginger tea made up of milk and sugar combined with samosas. He then switched to Bread Pakoras whenever he comes to Delhi, specially in the winter. “Sweet dishes are out of my life. I’m not fond of them anymore,” Chhetri said. He concluded with wheat parathas made up of paneer and said even Kohli can join him for that.

In the video, Chhetri was seen asking Kohli about his favourite cheat dishes that he would eat if given leeway for a day. Kohli named a long list, telling the fans about his crazy appetite despite his first-class body. Both Chhetri and Kohli share a great camaraderie.
Chhetri, who recently bid adieu to international football, has immensely contributed to Indian football. His triumphs in the Indian football circuit are unparalleled.
