New Delhi: It was truly a mesmerising performance by Leicester as they came back from 2-0 down, to score twice and win a point against sloppy Brighton. The draw was inspired by none other than their veteran captain, Jamie Vardy, who scored and assisted to make things levelled. Through the midfield bodies, Oliver Skipp located De Cordova-Reid, who then passed a fantastically flighted ball to his attack partner, Jamie Vardy.
Then, with a superb finish into the bottom-right corner, Vardy scored the goal in the 86th minute of the game to put pull one back for the Foxes. This was his sixth goal of the campaign, reminding everyone why he is considered as one of the all time best strikers of English Premier League.

The veteran didn’t stop there, as it was the time that Jamie Vardy did indeed “have a party” at the King Power Stadium. Vardy was extremely selfless and provided a great assist to Bobby Reid, who scored the leveller in added time, just five minutes after Vardy’s goal. This season, Jamie Vardy has already assisted three Premier League goals, making it nine goal contributions for the Leicester. The 37-year-old is truly having a marvellous campaign, despite his side’s poor run of form.

Leicester showed some great charecter on the pitch tonight, as they managed to come back from a 2-0 deficit to make sure that the spoils are shared between the two sides. However, Ruud Van Nistelroy’s side need to do more in order to stay up, and possibly aim for a higher finish at the table, as they sit 16th after tonight’s draw against the Seagulls.
The former Manchester United interim manager has had a more than decent start to his managerial career at East Midlands, and he needs to make sure that his team doesn’t get carried away and try to recover from their past defeats this season.
Leicester will be facing Newcastle United and Wolves, two sides who aren’t having the best time, so they need to make the most out of these opportunities before they face the table toppers, Liverpool and Manchester City, back-to-back, to end the year. Jamie Vardy will certainly be the man who could do the job for Van Nistelroy, with his experience and sharpness in front of the goal.
