Gwalior: The excitement was at its peak in the fourth match of the Madhya Pradesh Premier League 2025. Rewa Jaguars defeated Gwalior Cheetahs by six runs in a match that went till the last ball. Saransh Surana scored 64 runs in just 25 balls and also took two wickets in four overs. Batting first, Rewa posted a target of 189 runs, and in response, Gwalior only managed to score 182 runs.
After a brilliant batting performance in the six-over match affected by rain last night, Rewa displayed their powerful batting for the second consecutive match. But their bowling also did a fantastic job and snatched the victory from Gwalior on the last ball. Rewa scored only 51 runs in the powerplay. The team looked in big trouble after losing three wickets at a score of 66, but captain Himanshu Mantri held one end.
Sagar Solanki once again tried to play an aggressive innings, but this time he got out after hitting a four and a six. The team’s score was 121 runs after the 15 overs, but Saransh Surana attacked the Gwalior bowlers and completed his half-century in just 19 balls. Surana hit two sixes and a four in the 18th over of the match, and helped his team to get 20 runs from the over. After this, he scored another 14 runs in the next over.
Surana played an explosive innings of 64 runs in just 25 balls. He smashed five maximums and four boundaries during his sensational knock. Arpit Patel picked up three wickets for Gwalior Cheetahs.
Chasing the target, Gwalior managed to score 54 runs in the first six overs, but lost three wickets. They were 116/7 at one point and needed 73 runs in the last 29 balls. Rewa were in a comfortable position to win the match, but Rishabh Chauhan and Arpit made the match exciting by stitching a 56-run partnership in just 21 balls.
Kumar Karthikeya removed Arpit in the 19th over. He scored 28 runs off 14 balls. In the last over, Gwalior needed 15 runs to win, and Rishabh was at the crease. Surana bowled brilliantly and led his team to victory even after conceding a four on the first ball. Rishabh played an innings of 55 runs in 32 balls.
