New Delhi: MS Dhoni turned 43 on Sunday, July 7 and was opened to a plethora of wishes across the social media platforms as several fans lauded the former Indian captain for his contribution to the nation and wished him a happy birthday. The wishes weren’t just limited to the fans as Dhoni’s teammates too weighed in and extended their heartfelt wishes to CSK stalwart.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been playing with MSD for CSK since 2020 has developed a very close and great bond with the veteran cricketer. He first wishes the CSK legend on his Instagram story posting a picture of him with his wife and Dhoni sitting in the middle of both. “Happy Birthday to our very own, the only THALA. Always grateful to be able to spend time with you,” he wrote alongside the photo.

This wasn’t it for Gaikwad as the batter also made sure that he personally wished his CSK senior. He video-called Dhoni right from Zimbabwe and wished him for his 43rd birthday with the company of CSK teammates Tushar Deshpande and Mukesh Kumar. Sharing a snap of the video call, Gaikwad showcased his admiration for the former CSK skipper who handed the captaincy to Gaikwad ahead of the IPL 2024.
