New Delhi: Defending champions Puneri Paltan reclaimed their top spot in the league stage of the Pro Kabaddi League 2024-25 following a thrilling draw against Dabang Delhi KC in the Match no.50 played at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Tuesday.
Puneri Paltan started on a great note after losing out on services of regular captain Aslam Inamdar, it was Akash Shinde who took on the mantle to plunder points from the raids with Aman and Abinesh Nadarajan keeping strong hold in the defence. Mohit Goyal enforced the first ‘All Out’ against Dabang Delhi KC in the 10th minute.
It was the tremendous show from Ashu Malik that paved the way for a Dabang Delhi comeback in the second half. Ashu scored his eighth consecutive Super 10, accumulating 17 points from 26 raids with four bonus points being taken. The 22-year-old raider became the first player to cross the 100-point mark in the season 11 as Dabang Delhi ended in a 38-38 draw with Puneri Paltan.
Despite not getting the outright win, the three points from this match helped the Paltan to move back to the pole position in the latest PKL standings. Puneri Paltan have won five matches, lost two and tied two to account for 33 points, going past Haryana Steelers, who are now at the second spot with 31 points.
Dabang Delhi have slightly moved from sixth to fifth spot with the three points. The Ashu Malik-led side has won four matches, lost five and drew one to finish at 27 points after eight matches.

Arjun Deshwal leads Jaipur Pink Panthers to an inspiring win
Arjun Deshwal capped off an exceptional solo performance to lead the Jaipur Pink Panthers to a 39-32 win over the Bengaluru Bulls in Match 49 of PKL 11. Arjun scored 19 points for the two-time PKL champions, with the second-highest scorer for the Jaipur Pink Panthers being Lucky Sharma, who completed a High 5 and eventually finished with six points to his name.
Jaipur Pink Panthers have moved to seventh place from ninth after the recent win while Bengaluru continue to languish at the 11th place with just two wins from nine matches.
