New Delhi: Yet another milestone has been achieved by the Egyptian king Mohamed Salah as he makes it into the elite list of top 10 Premier League players with most number of assists after his performance against West Ham tonight. It was a dominant display by the Reds, who are now further increasing the gap at the top of the table. The table toppers areleaving nobody guessing and their star veteran Salah just cannot stop coring and assisting this season.
Liverpool’s lead was doubled in the 40th minute of the game when Cody Gakpo scored from a close range just two minutes after West Ham attacker, Mohammed Kudus hit the post at the other end of the pitch. Salah left Mac Allister’s first-time pass forward, and Luiz Diaz played it back into his feet. The Egyptian beat Mavropanos and stabbed the ball through to Cody Gakpo who put it away to score his fifth of the season. This assist marked Salah’s 81st, as he surpassed David Bekham to enter the top 10 list of all time assists makers.

The Egyptian also managed to register his 82nd assist late into the game. Before teeing up Diogo Jota to his left, Salah cantered into the middle and over halfway, leaving a number of defenders behind him. Even though Areola got a touch to the ball, Jota’s curling strike into the top corner eventually found the back of the net, and Liverpool scored their fifth to make it 5-0 at the London Stadium.

With two assists to his name and also a goal scored by the Egyptian, today is the eighth Premier League game this season where Salah has managed to register a goal as well as an assist which is a new Premier League record. It is truly amazing what this man is doing lately, as he just keeps on proving his worth to this Liverpool side, and at the age of 32, he is setting the league on fire yet again. His goal tonight means that he is leading the scoring charts with 17 goals to his name already this season.
Well another surprise which won’t be to surprising for the fans is that he is also leading the assists charts this season with 13 to his name already. That makes it 30 goal contributions in the league already for Mo Salah. This is a scary stat if you consider that we are only half way through the season. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the remainder of the season as for Salah, even sky doesn’t seem like the limit at this point.
