Earlier in the day, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Meena levelled charges of corruption against the Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and said that his party will soon bring to the fore the corrupt practices of Shanti Dhariwal and also the scams that occurred in the state in relation with mines and Jal Jeevan Mission.

While speaking with the party workers, Meena alleged that in the Department of Information and Technology (DoIT), there was a scam of Rs 5,000 crore. He also went on to say that Gehlot denied permission to the Anti-Corruption Bureau to look into the matter. The Rajya Sabha MP also said from a cupboard at a government building, Rs 2.31 crore of cash and gold were found.

In an interview with the news agency PTI, Meena said that corruption is very rampant under the Congress government in Rajasthan, adding that papers of all the sixteen competitive exams were leaked within one year.

Earlier in June, the Enforcement Directorate raided several locations in Rajasthan in relation to the paper leaks case. After the searches, Gehlot alleged that the BJP-led Centre is exploiting investigative agencies and since the elections are approaching in Rajasthan, he had already anticipated these searches.

He also asked why is the ED trying to meddle in the matter when the ACB is already investigating the paper leak case. In the recent past, several such instances have occurred, where exam question papers for teacher recruitment were revealed to the aspirants.

The Enforcement Directorate earlier conducted searches at several locations in Rajasthan in relation to the exam paper leaks case.  Rajasthan Rajasthan News: Latest Rajasthan News, Live Breaking Updates from Rajasthan Online
