New Delhi: There were emotions all around the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday evening as Royal Challengers Bengaluru ended an 18-year long wait to clinch their maiden IPL title. RCB beat Punjab Kings by 6 runs to win their first trophy as star player Virat Kohli was finally able to quench his thirst after giving all of his career to the franchise.
Kohli, who is the most successful batter in the history of the cash-rich tournament, was spotted visibly emotional and in tears as he shared a heartwarming hug with wife Anushka Sharma, who felt equally joyous on this memorable moment. Chasing 191 runs, Punjab Kings, who gave a good fight in the summit clash, fell short by just 6 runs finishing up a runners-up in the 2025 edition.
Meanwhile, as soon as the last ball was bowled and RCB were crowed champions, a teary-eyed Kohli was on ground crying before all the team members rushed on the spot to surround him and hug him. Her was soon up on his feet and in his aggressive mode were he went on to celebrate the triumph with his team members.

After celebrating the golden victory with his teammates, Kohli rushed towards his wife Anushka Sharma who came running to the ground from the stands and shared an emotional hug with her. Anushka was seen consoling Kohli which was followed by the duo erupting in joy. The star player was also seen sharing warm hugs with former teammate Ab de Villiers and Chris Gayle who were present on the spot.

Towards the end of the game, it looked like the match was slipping away from RCB but they kept their nerves till the end to win the title in style.
