Chennai: Five people from Tamil Nadu are feared dead in the fire accident in Kuwait, says Tamil Nadu Minister for Non-Resident Tamils KS Masthan. “State will do everything to help Kuwait fire victims, Tamil Nadu Minister Ginjee Masthan said on Thursday, June 13, a day after at least 40 Indian nationals lost their lives in a devastating fire in Kuwait.
Reportedly, Chinnadurai from Kattumannarkoil of Cuddalore district, Karuppanan Ramu from Tennavanur village of Ramanathapuram district, Veerasamy Mariyappan from Kovilpatti, Mohammad Sharif from Senchi, and Bunaf Richard Roy from Pattukottai have feared in the fire tragedy.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin expressed profound sorrow over the major fire incident at a labor housing facility in the Mangaf area of Kuwait on June 12 that claimed 49 lives, including 40 Indians.

Tamil Nadu CM directed the Commissioner for Rehabilitation and Welfare of Non-Resident Tamils to gather information on potential victims from Tamil Nadu.
The Chief Minister has also ordered the Tamil Nadu Welfare Department to ascertain if any Tamils have been affected by the fire accident that took place in an apartment building in Kuwait City’s Mangaf area.
Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and I&B, L Murugan on Thursday said the bodies of the deceased will be recovered and will be brought to India as soon as possible.
